Yeah I don’t see why this is up for debate, lol. We see the same thing happen with warrentless police officers, all the time. They’re scary, the public doesn’t have a clear understanding of where they’re rights begin and end-

So they let them in assuming they already had the authority to come in already.

Sure, but if I knew my neighbor stole a price-gun from Walmart, I can’t just walk in there and take it from him, just because he’s in possession of a stolen item. And I most certainly can’t call someone else (without any legal authority) to do it for me either.

There is an entire legal channel you have to go through to

At the very least, this should have some sort of positive effect, right?

But yeah, otherwise we need to encourage more people to think critically about the media they consume AND the institutions spearheading humanitarian campaigns.

It’s definitly an obvious outcome to doing something criminal like this. So it’s definitly a “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” thing.

But at the same time, I don’t think the punishment is suffient or ethical either. The whole thing is just depressing on so many levels, lol.

Yeah, I guess games feeling like “work” is the problem. But to me, that’s kind of half the point of a ranking system(or anything skill-based). Especially considering skill isn’t some static thing.

My biggest gripe with removing rank decay, is we end up with an issue we have in Street Fighter 5. Where someone could get

That’s fair. It was less “this is a morally upstanding institution” and more “they pretend to be a morally upstanding institution, the least they can do is lie better”

lol.

I agree. I’m just doing the internet thing of pointing out a flaw, according to a standard they don’t follow.

You know, the ol “I have no power in this situation, but atleast I can complain about it” type of comment.

It definitly brings into question the quality of highering practices for a career path that should, in practice, be hiring responsible and mature(or atleast morally upstanding in some relative sense).

Cause similar to the situation with police corruption... it’s very unlikely this is an isolated issue and the culture

The issue isn’t the designers, it’s the execs, investors and anyone who’s primary goal is to make the game as profitable(not quality) as possible.

The designers can pitch as many ideas and notions for the game as they want. But at the end of the day, they are beholden to the demands of the higher-ups, and if the

Most of my ranked gaming background is in fighting games, so watching this entire OW2 discussion has been super interesting from an outsiders point of view.

Number three, having a relationship with someone you are in a position of authority over is very morally questionable.”

You’re right! Good thing the neither of the two characters are morally questionable people or something. I too wish to live in a world where all works of fiction are far removed from anything that

Conservative shrieking IS just passing the blame for what they’re doing, onto liberals, lol.

Which it’s why it’s mostly impossible to get them with any sort of “gotcha.” You can’t shame the shameless unfortunetly.

They should have that mouse checked for butt-plug style cheating devices.

I’d argue anyone who see’s a Rotten Tomato score and attributes anything but a broad stroke of impression is the person who is “out of touch.”

The whole point of the review system is to find people with *similar* tastes as you, the consumer, and use that to help make consuming choices that are right for YOU.

Critic’s

I still haven’t checked any of the Sing’s out yet. I saw the trailer and said “nah” on first glance, haha. But good to see they improved with the sequal!

Yeah, the mileage varies a lot and for a variety of reasons, haha.

As long as the kids like it, I can’t be mad though. There’s some animated movies I loved as a kid, that looking back on as an adult... weren’t that great. But a good memory is a good memory, regardless.

I mean, if some unknown white dude said “let’s make a diverse cast using this archetype” or some robot generated an archetype based on some algorithim... the end result is still a new and interesting(usually) character that someone somewhere might enjoy or even feel represented with.

I get the idea of the games

Your brains gonna explode when you find out bisexual people exist.

I’d argue a unique thing about Overwatch’s 1 initial fandom, is that most of it had very little to do with the gameplay, and instead focused primarily on the characters, their stories and their relationships.

And in a gaming environment that was still pretty close-minded, a lot of LGBTQ peeps kind of found eachother in

Well their audience is 99% of the time kids and teens. And generally speaking, an audience like that isn’t necesiarly primed for understanding the nuance of malice as it relates to entertainment. Especially if it’s in a format that is disconnected from their own reality.

Which is why thewhite guy goes into black
