Why? There wasn’t anything “illegal” or “BS” about it, it was just a weird play. Shit happens.

This never made sense to me. I enjoy the occasional prank or ribbing with friends, but I don’t get griefing strangers. The latter seems just mean to me.

I’m so glad we dodged that bullet. Though there were plenty of stories about Kiffin and Pruitt.

I choose to ignore everything that happened before we lost to Lousiana Monroe. And I had to go to Shreveport, twice, as a member of the MDB.

There’s a darkest timeline, which is probably the dankest timeline to everyone who comments on this, where Rich Rod accepted the Alabama offer. Thank Christ that shitshow never happened.

1. You’re, like, ten comments too late on this one

You’re trying too hard. Do less.

Using “we” is common parlance in referring to one’s fandom. Closest I got to “playing or working” for the Alabama football team was five seasons in the MDB.

Well, you do you then.

I don’t think your opinion makes any sense if you think conferences should be able to choose their champions however they choose rather than a set standard via the CFP, NCAA, or whomever. That system sounds awful.

I’m not sure what case you’re making at this point. What system do you prefer for deciding who gets into the CFP?

To be fair, whether you think we got in legitimately or not, given the nature of a playoff, we would never have played OU anyway.

Then why would winning your conference matter, if the nation doesn’t have to “accommodate” you? If we want to say conference champions get automatic bids, which I think they should, then the system needs to have a set standard for said conferences.

Because winning your conference wasn’t (and currently isn’t) a requirement for making the 2011 BCS National Championship? And if we’re going to say it should be, and I agree it should be, then every conference has to have the same number of teams and have a conference championship game.

Well, that’s an entirely different can of worms. IMO if we want an 8+ team playoff with conference champions getting automatic bids, then every conference in FBS needs to have the requisite number of teams such that they have a conference game.

I was addressing your point wherein you mentioned the Fiesta Bowl from last season.

You’re aware the Big XII didn’t have a conference championship game in 2011, right?

WVU, Cincy, and Louisville were all co-champions because the conference only had eight teams, so no conference championship game.

Not very original. You can do better.
