No. Tesla may have exclusivity agreements with them but the IP still belongs to their suppliers (they did develop it after all, the giga factory is a scaled up version of Panasonic’s Japanese plant) and those agreements have end dates. Sumitimo is already selling components to other cell manufacturers and I believe

Too bad those are from Panasonic/Sumitomo...

The roxor is as good as it’s going to get and is perfectly legal in most states on low speed and neighborhood roads.

Why bother when you can still get a cj?

The bare chassis doesn’t do them any favors, 1.5 mil for a steel tube chassis?

It goes bankrupt the day after the investors decide it won’t have a long term profit.

That’s actually a poor idea. Tesla stock is gambling pure and simple. It may crash before you get out it may not, it’s an all or nothing proposition. F Stock may never take off but you have the prospect of a steady dividend for years and its probably as cheap as its going to get.

I don’t think Li batteries are appropriate for Mars colonization and I suspect neither does Spacex, you need things like RTG’s or full blown reactors instead. Uranium is orders of magnitude more energy dense then even the theoretical solid state batteries. You also don’t have to cart around literal tons of solar

Ditto... You’ll pry my aisin 4 from my cold dead fingers.

Nope, manual offroading is no bueno.

No no no no no. Seriously I can’t imagine trying to coordinate three pedals on a trail, some masochists will voluntarily pick a manual but I purposely picked up a clean auto XJ over the manual options because I intended to do some offroading with it.

I wanted to click crack pipe, but after perusing autotempest the price is right. I don’t see any reason to get a Bronco II over a cherokee that you can buy for couch change but aparently the market does so who am I to argue?

Avoid Radwood then.

I suspect the only clean thing about this car is the title. It practically screams turned into a "track car" after they wadded it up. Although with wheel tire combo it's not much of a track car either.

They put the 2.3 in everything, give it two years and you will be able to get them in junkyards all over the US. Unfortunately the RS got it first and it had some teething/head-gasket issues that Ford didn’t resolve until after its run was over.

While I for one appreciate a good rage song, citing them for political debates usually indicates your not there to debate.

Trick question, you have to be in 1st for a good burnout. oh wait...

I just did this. Currently they’re all terrible purchases, brand names have ridiculous mark ups and the Chinese ones aren’t any better.

Ford just remembers giant piles of money being lit on fire.

Just imagine, those look like Eaton m90s. There is a world of modifications available for them, just a slightly smaller pulley and port gains 50+ hp on cars with a single one.
