Buy a CJ3 soft top and windscreen. Even if it doesn’t fit perfectly you should be able to make it work.
The JL has to fit down the trail first...
George Washington’s axe? Swap the frame under an old CJ7 then swap the tub after you register it...
That’s your options though. You can get a deal on a 20-30 year old TJ or YJ that requires work (new tub at a minimum for us midwesterners) or you can pay 15k for a no frills, brand new, diesel CJ3ish.
GM could hire away PGAs engineering team and it be would a rounding error to them. They will continue to develop midsized sedans if only to stay relevant in china.
No, but the diesel and trailer you buy with the remaining 75k will be.
Iirc when my dad was running F stock and ESP scca races in the 90s and early 2000s no one had flattering things to say about the supra’s handling. It was consistently slower than the pony cars much less the corvettes and other A stock cars.
If you’re a gear head you want the second set. It’s much easier to find and swap aftermarket port injectors for big power increases vs the high pressure di injectors.
They’re worth more than most corvettes from that year now. So maybe those guys were on to something...
That was a Teksid block with GT heads. Although a billet crank, he had stopped using the cobra cranks in the 6's. In comparison the “fast” LS guys are using aftermarket blocks and heads and still aren’t close.
The record you’re citing is only a stock bottom end iirc. That was cammed with ported heads.
I must point out this is still slower than the Mod record. I look forward to JY coyotes being as common as 5.3's though...
X2 I’ve got an old school cable clutch with an aggressive pressure plate. Its a bit of shock for most the first time. “Why is your seat this far forward... ooh thats why.”
The big difference is actually height but DOHC motors are slightly wider.
Depends on the 4.6...
Maybe 10 years ago. Aftermarket heads for the 2v make it a real option when a 4v won’t fit.
Um, no. Even the old npi modular is a better motor than the 5.0. The only advantage ye old 5.0 has is size. The best 5.0 aftermarket head doesn’t hold a candle to the factory 4.6 heads and it’s block likes to split at only 400hp. People only go with the 5.0 swaps because they’re well documented and it’s the smallest…
The same as 2WD. The front and rear drive shafts can rotate independently as an open differential, so you don’t get the advantage the 4WD cherokee had.
