It’s strait forward. A part time transfer case moves front and rear drive shafts at the same speed when engaged. When you stop one drive shaft (in this case the front due to the better brakes there) the other must stop. This allows the jeep to lock up the rear in 4WD. The brakes are able to act as a single unit with

Lol, you think one of those has working ABS...

Just ignore the whole supply chain that manufactured said EV and “Sure its zero emisions, I promise!”.

I was surprised they used the Windsor so long. That motor was long in the tooth when US Ford started phasing it out in 93.

My bad I ignored non USDM, kinda like Ford.

Technically the DEW98 was a ford platform used by Jaguar and Lincoln RWD 4 doors... but your correct in that the last Ford branded platform was the fox debuting in 1979.

I took a look at the 80's and 90's falcons after reading the OP expecting, at worst, fox based underpinnings. I saw leaf springs, GTFO. They got US style quadrabind and warmed over 5.0s in the 90's and that was an improvement.

I have one. I will not give it up unless I am given a large pile of money. Neither will any other owners. You are forced to give one of us said large pile of money.

An InTech 32V Aluminum 4.6 cast by Teksid to be exact...

The GR40 packages are designed for the track, they are going to make some NVH compromises that may make a mustang II style front the better option for street use. Not to mention the Mustang II kits being sold now have probably been as reworked and re engineered as the rest of this car.

I am. Currently rocking a regular Edge as the kid hauler and the other half wouldn’t even LOOK at a CTS wagon or ecoboost flex and the 3.7 sport Edge wasn’t worth the premium at the time.

I’ve had Pappy and was very unimpressed with the Weller. Blanton’s would be the best Pappy substitute you can reasonably buy IMHO. Plus you get the horse on your bottle...

Kinja won’t let me edit but this is a coyote block. This is what a complete redesign of the old 4.6 looks like when the only limiting factor is it has to be made on the same equipment...

Nopety nope. Its Ford IP through and through, you could swap everything from the rear main seal to the heads if you wanted or had the budget.

And using a ford modular based motor to boot...

Right of first refusal is legal, you have a whole stock trade based on it... A contract can dictate to who and when you sell something.

Right of first refusal. Its what Ford probably used in the contract and is a fixture in real estate deals and stocks (options). In this case its definitely enforceable because all Ford has to do is prove that he didn’t offer the car to them first.

That’s cute. What more commonly sued over is the right of first refusal which I bet Ford is doing here and they will win because these contracts are common and legal.

With a manual.

I dislike the majority of their owners, but I’ve come to think of them as XJ/WJ replacements...
