That much, wow haven’t been following their prices.

I’ve read about more than one track rat going to plain steel to reduce running costs. I wonder if it’s possible to retrofit the 570?

This might actually be a bargain, whats the cost of the top trim 911? Excluding the double secret probation GT2.1894891073 trim package. Heck even the “bargain super car” ZO6 is knocking on 100K. The NSX costs about the same IIRC, I wouldn’t have to think twice.

To non car people a fox is just some 80s car...

Not enough room.

Not to limp mode too often, but they will pull timing eventually. Ford addressed a lot of the heat issues with the 2011 and added even more cooling with the 2013-14s.

The ls/lt motors are pretty narrow there is only so large they can go with the intercooler. Even the top mounted intercoolers can only get so large before they restrict power due to the longer more convaluted path air has to flow.

Spot on, the last gt500 used a larger tvs supercharger than the Z06. The hood isn’t the only reason for the undersized blower and intercooler. The ls/lt has a narrow valley compared to its cross town rival, so there is less room for a supercharger and the associated plumbing. GM over spinning small superchargers has

A 1000whp car with a two speed power glide or turbo 400 would probably blow his mind...

Enough space for an LS1 too...

That’s a recent change too. A lot of ZO6 owners had to eat the cost of replacing their LS7 heads.

1. I’m impressed they planned something and it happened, low bar these days...

Yes, but the Type R was in the same price bracket as the Cobra and SS/Formula and those were far stiffer competition... I recall a review a C/D or Motortrend review that said something along the lines of “Why spend X amount for this when the Camaro 1LE exists?”. That was ultimately the downfall of the

You were probably in an escape and didn’t realize it.

Opposite experience here. Nicer interior than the cx9 and explorer we cross shopped. More enjoyable to drive than the cx9 as well. I have to chuckle at the comparison to the mustang, ours is tomb like compared to my 2003.

Once you see them inside the difference is immediate. The escape is a CUVized focus whereas the Edge is a fusion wagon on stilts, way more room.

Same company different organizations.

I work in manufacturing, engineers are transferred all the time between subsidiaries and if you think HPD and the F1 program don’t share information let me introduce you to what corporate calls “synergy”...

When there is the common theme of Honda motors failing, why blame luck?

Fox body in full flexi flyer mode.
