The Welsh Guards are pretty awesome. They played the Star Wars Death march when a horrible Saudi Prince came to visit  (he didn’t realize he was being trolled).

Can someone gently push Trump into an old people’s home already?

Yup, she was visibly uncomfortable. I’ve had “friendly” bosses who pulled this crap and made out that it was no big deal. Unless you are really comfortable with someone then don’t touch! A quick hug is one thing, but that’s groping.

Not really, I work in Poundland and that’s looking dodgy at the moment.

Sorry, my bad. (I’m not going to talk about Brexit - my mum voted for it and we have a “don’t mention the war”Fawlty Towers”thing going on as I I voted against it.)

I think it depends where you come from. I’m British and fresh out of uni I got a work visa for Canada. My first night i got told off by my Canadian friend for not tipping the bar tender. I didn’t even know that you were supposed to do that. Tipping is like a nice gesture over here if your server is especially nice

Ah us educated Brits, how dare we read and learn about things. Most of my fellow graduates (not all white) that I know are more into stuff like Game Of Thrones  and snarky comedy shows. I don’t even know anyone who watches The West Wing. (And yes I would describe myself as liberal)

Fellow Brit here, and liberal with American friends. From what I can tell and remember ER was just that hospital show with Clooney in it. There had to have been a better way of handling the situation with this woman rather than shooting her in the torso though. She didn’t have to die.

Yeah there is a special kind of hell for people who abandon animals. I’ve got two other rescue cats, but at least they were dumped at the Cats Protection League.

It’s uncanny - they could be brothers. Nevermind, I’ll go and listen to something interesting instead of any of this.

I’m a virgo and Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s romance is but naught compared to the little cat that I found in the woodshed and after placing leaflets around the area have adopted when no-one got in touch.

You’re right. I’m not even sure that I’d call Forrest Gump a comedy - it’s pretty depressing when you think about it. Movies can be great and fun at the same time or scary or have a social message. It’s how they are made, written and performed that is what matters.

Now playing

The James Corden thing is weird. He’s really popular in the UK, mostly for writing and starring in Gavin and Stacey - it’s not like he came out of no-where.

It does seem weird that Black Panther just can’t be nominated for best picture. The amount of work and world building was amazing, and all the actors were great. Why have a best popular film category anyway? “The Room” is popular, so is “Sharknado(s).” They are fun but not good. There’s a lot of snobby voting - Lord

What am I looking at? None of the images match the words. Do these random people even know that their images are being used? I’m thinking no.

Well said. Can you imagine if the genders had been reversed in this situation? She’d never work again.

I’m British so I will have TWO sugars in my tea and a biscuit and a toast to my American friends.

Accepted.

It’s fine. We’re all good. Everyone has different experiences with sexual harassment. (I wish I didn’t have to type that sentence).

It was assault really, and if he hadn’t been the owner of the hotel and a millionaire then I would have reported it. But since no-one witnessed it it was a he said/she said situation. He has lawyers, I don’t. I did manage to get the local Job Center to warn people off from applying there. Little victory, but it’s
