Maybe we can finally get Avatar streaming? I’d really like to show it to my kids.

With such a perfect name for it, Finn Wolfhard missed his calling as a future porn star.
The original draft had a pretty excellent joke about Chicago deep dish pizza, but my editors took it out. They don’t want me starting a holy war.
I’m not saying VBucks are valuable, but for half this many I would let the CEO of Epic Games kick me in the testicles from behind.
I feel like most games actually struggle to push system limits at 1080p these days. You need to be running at least 1440p and all the bells and whistles to even begin justifying anything more potent than a GTX 1660 Ti/Radeon 5700; I’m still running most games full-tilt on a single GTX 970.
Honestly? The PC gaming market matters a lot less than it used to back when Diablo 3 came out. They’ll be targeting the PS4 and Xbox One, and whichever PCs can run that will run that.
I’m guilty of not doing this until my wife yelled at me a few weeks ago.
Now I religiously rinse all the plastics and dump crumbs, etc.
Who says you can’t teach old dogs new tricks?!
I fill them with water and a squirt of soap, let them sit over night (or longer) and that typically looses the remaining PB enough to clean them out. If not I just repeat for a couple of days..
Currently I am using the clean ones as storage for per-measured servings of dog food.
I can’t explain the amount of stress you just removed from my life (I would draft peanut butter an easy #1 in a The Takeout Spreads Fantasy Draft).
I always do a double-take when I am about to “wash” my recyclables, is it worth the wasted water to attempt to save this stuff when I keep hearing a lot of it never actually gets recycled anyway?
That’s why I head to my local pasta sauce canning factory and have them dump the pasta sauce into my own thermos...
Again, The Takeout helps with useful advice. What you’re saying is be mindful, understand the process and how we can contribute to its success. Will do.
Reminds me of the cook-your-own-steak restaurant fad in the 90's. I can do that at home without the mark up and screaming kids at the next table.
Dammit, I completely missed this news! I was wondering where the Pang content was... Now I’m never gonna get un-greyed (Kate, lookin’ at you!)
‘You bet your ass a hot dog is a sandwich.’ — Kevin Pang, founder and former editor-in-chief of The Takeout, and additionally :-) director of the documentary For Grace on Netflix.
I have a bone to pick here...
Best of luck to you! Thanks for helping to make this tiny little corner of the internet one of my favorite places to visit.
Thanks for these past three years, Kevin, and especially for making The Takeout into a site for those who also see food as: 1) good; 2) a way to enrich our lives in other ways. There’s been a lot of excellent, thoughtful, and useful writing here in the past few years, and I’m excited to see how this evolves based on…
You will be missed, Kevin. It’s a real nice corner of the internet you’ve set up here... be sure to pop in whenever you’re feeling nostalgic.
