Because it’s a news peg because of the recent interview?

I once saw a guy in the mall obnoxiously vaping, like literally flinging his arms out back and forth as he switched the vape from one hand to another while doing a I’m-a-big-old-badass-taking-up-space walk.

I know this is probably way low on the scale given some of the stories here, but can we add in anybody who’s in an MLM who gifts stuff from the MLM and/or tries to rope you into a “party” while doing so?

it also completely didn’t end like I expected it to. (don’t want to spoil it, but...yeah.)

I was very “meh” on Educated when someone first told me about it -- it just sounded like the usual inspirational memoir. But man, that book knocked my socks off.

Yeah, what are these magical “ways to push for higher salaries,” Jonathan Chait? Inquiring minds.

see, I almost want to see it now, just for the badness of the costumes. will watch it on mute.

they really are Anybody But A Woman, aren’t they?

fine, but I didn’t even know either of them existed and now I can’t stop laughing. thanks, AV Club

You know what, toddlers and...me. I loved Bowser’s Inside Story (and Kirby, which I know is geared for the young’uns but is adorably weird) and you better believe I’ll be buying them again.

I’m 1 minute 23 seconds in and this is the broiest bro that ever broed a bro

Of course we do, but I think it’s on him to learn from his mistake and then show us he has. Not up to us to forgive first and then assume he does.

Because celebrities have influence and can make a difference in the world. They’re not restaurant waiters. It’s not a matter of “agreeing to disagree” on opinions; what they do or say can actually cause harm.

You know what, I think this is personal, but for me: 1) an apology is “good enough” if it’s not self-centered, if the person seems to genuinely recognize the harm done, and cares about doing better in the future.

actually, no! for me personally, anyway. I don’t care whether Kevin Hart and Louis CK are Republicans or Democrats or members of the Green Party. anyone can be an asshole.

I think the problem is that apologies (if they even happen; I’ve seen very few actual apologies from celebs) are couched in a LOT of defensive and self-centered bullshit. add in “I love myself” / “living my best life” (God that makes me want to bang my head against a wall) and it sure doesn’t seem genuine.

wow, you’re so funny! James Gunn actually apologized (as opposed to lots of these assholes), but conservative Reddit trolls had a raging boner for him for some reason (again, really not the same for Kevin Hart). so totally not the same thing. but nice try :)

in James Gunn’s case, he actually apologized (which is rare), and as far as I know only conservatives continued to “rake him over the coals.”

1) really? where?

Don’t blame the people who find stuff. I totally want to know if someone posted something stupid or offensive, and I want to know if they still feel the same way.
