I’ll stab you in the fucking neck.

That’s not at all a terrible argument. I think that is totally a piece of the puzzle. Language barriers, the unwillingness/inability to market players (especially international stars), and the culture of anti-entertainment do make it hard for a fan to invest in players. I’m obviously a homer, but Ichiro is a great

If pace of play isn’t the issue, what is? The talent is as rich as ever, small market teams are booming, foreign players have become an integral part of the league, other sports should be waning due to the development of brain trauma science, etc. Unless baseball is intrinsically boring, which it isn’t, it seems like

I thought when he stepped away from the Dodgers years ago, he was done. It’s cool to see him pitching well this long.

Combining shortening time between pitches, mound meetings, commercials, pitcher replacements, intentional walks, etc. will shorten the game to the specified 2-2.5 hours they are shooting for. This is a step, and if you want baseball to stay out of the gutter, you should like this idea.

I don’t think it’s just that. Games are over 3 hours and they want it closer to 2-2.5. But for a big fan 8 minutes per game at 162 games (not including playoffs where games are 4 hours) thats roughly 21.6 extra hours of dog shit baseball. Not inconsequential.

Hit the ball the OTHER FUCKING WAY.

To be fair, with the shutter mode, you can take a lot of pictures rapidly so a limit isn’t necessary.

Ya, but even the heat days Bosh certainly wasn’t what he used to be and Wade was slowing down. He has long been the head of a big 3, that was only big because he was the head.

Live here. Can confirm.

This has been such an enlightening conversation.

This is a great explanantion, and pretty much what I expected. Shit was weak, as is this Conor nonsense. There are too many good fights for us to keep hearing about this shit show for 2 more years.

I feel like a turd, don’t i dont get the joke.

They have already thoroughly bonered HoF voting, why is all star voting all of a sudden sacred. Besides, nobody gives a shit about the all star game. Or maybe that sounds just you.

I dunno, we all enjoy things differently.

I’m not going to strike any 6'2" dudes who weigh in at over 3 bills.

I like and understand both sides. I want the deserving player to receive the accolade (for contract negotiates, historical context, HoF standards, etc.) but I also want baseball to be fun again. Fuckit, Ill take fun every time.

Haha, I know he’s 70, but I heartily chortle when internally debating how many Donald’s I could beat up at once. I say 4.

Cold take: Lonzo Ball is not particularly pleasant to look at.

I almost can’t blame you for going with the “head buried in the sand” tactics
