@RedLantern: I wrote my comment when I was pissed off. This is EXACTLY what I meant: "This is an alternative lifestyle, and I don't have to approve of it to respect someone's right to choose it."

So, it's not okay to body snark but we can call these women soul-sucking stepford zombies because of the CHOICES they made AS ADULTS? I'm confused. I thought we don't do the whole "paternalistic" thing as feminists, or whatever.
