Right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce and I got egg noodles and ketchup. I'm an average nobody. I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook.

I like that restrictions aspect of it with the cheats — I'll have to try that when I revisit it, which I always seem to do. And you're right—there was no way I was ever giving up while I originally played it. Always wanted to give it one more attempt. I can't believe I never rage quit the thing. It was always was

Ha ha…man, this is bringing back all my panic and rage at the game. Those turrets! And the damn cavern…those giant doors all over the place, opening slowly, to reveal more turrets. More than once I got to the last hallway only to get shot down by them or have those guards suddenly appear at the even bigger doors

I loved that one! I played all the Goldeneye followup games to diminishing returns…World is Not Enough, Agent Under Fire, Nightfire…even the odd From Russia With Love one with Connery doing his own voice. Everything or Nothing was far and away the best one—I still replay some of the missions from time to time.

Oh, how many times I screamed at her to follow me and not wander around in circles.

So, so, so hard. I still remember how my heart was pounding and I felt like throwing up when I finally—FINALLY—beat it after what seemed like 100 tries. I went back a year or so ago to replay it and noped out of that level really quick and ended up using the invincibility and infinite ammo cheats. I have no idea how I

One of my favorites!. And it has great rewatchability…great tone, 50s cheese, right in MST3K's wheelhouse. So many jokes in this episode still make me laugh out loud. I laughed for five minutes the first time I heard the "Romulans" joke. Only MST3K can make me laugh like that.

Two prog keyboard solos: Tony Banks in Genesis' "In The Cage," amazing how he swoops and loops back around, releasing all the tension of the song. Also quite fond of Richard Wright's work in a number of Floyd songs, especially "Shine on You Crazy Diamond." So mournful.

Great list! Especially Ringo and the synthesizer in Won't Get Fooled Again. It's a mesmerizing, repetitive, full of tension—love it so much.

I love the Hockstetter stuff. The deviations from the main plot in the book are my favorite parts—the history of Derry that Mike writes, the tales of the missing—really good, scary snapshots. The way Hockstetter dies still gives me chills. King is so effective in those kind of short bursts and the inclusion of all of

I always liked FLUDD a lot—it reminded me of Banjo Kazooie in that you had this thing on your back that would allow you to do extra tasks. And then those levels where FLUDD got taken away were just even better because of how you had to adjust.

That's right! And you had to wait for the damn boat and jump off the platform just right—so many times I misjudged the jump and fell into the water and had to start all over again. I played this game so many times and loved it, but there was a lot of rage quitting involved.

Oh gosh, I loved Seaquest so much. My sister and I would play for hours and hours and top each other's high score. We got into the 400,000s before the game just became too fast to even think straight. I still like to play it occasionally along with River Raid.

My my my my …GOD!

I had no idea about The Motels…so sorry! I guess they weren't a one hit wonder. I honestly really like Suddenly Last Summer but I thought that was Quarterflash. I've heard Only the Lonely dozens of times lately in unexpected places and I remember that video so well that that was the only song of theirs that

They were a really great band…amazing rhythm section and a lot of hooks.

So many great ones already listed. Another few tracks that I have a soft spot for:
"Sunshine" by Jonathan Edwards
"Major Tom" by Peter Schilling
"Jackie Blue" by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils
"Under the Milky Way" by The Church
"Something About You" by Level 42
"Der Kommissar" by After the Fire
"Only the Lonely" by The Motels

Such a great list! Dexy's was the one I was going to post—seems to wrap up the 80s in one fell swoop. And that Modern English song is about a perfect a pop song that has ever been written.

I had this 45 as a kid and played the hell out of it…it was just so weird and alien for my little mind at that time. MTV used to play the video a lot, too…it reminded me of The Buggles, another favorite one-hit wonder. That cool, remote, robotic music. Was a breath of fresh air in my house that was always filled with
