I thought the same thing. I was curious so I pulled up their website and perused their inventory. Hardly what I would call “lux.” Mostly 10+ year old cars going for under $12k. And then some weird outliers thrown in like Bentley Flying Spur and a Rolls Royce Phantom. But even those “lux” listings raise some eyebrows: t

It’s amazing how ugly it is. I saw an Ioniq5 in a parking garage the other day and I thought it was really sharp. I haven’t seen the 6 out in the real world  yet, but you wouldn’t even know they were from the same company based on the pictures.

A combination of all of those things. The big names get attention, and Apple likely puts a significant amount of money into a “For Your Consideration” campaign.

At first I was indignant, but then I looked at the categories and realized that The Morning Show is going to win precisely zero of the awards they were nominated for (maybe one on the outside). That calmed me down.

Can someone more medically astute shed some light on what he means by six heart attacks? I don’t think I’ve ever heard one cardiac event referred to as multiple heart attacks in this way. It seems more common to phrase it like: I had a heart attack and X arteries were Z% blocked. Does it have to do with how many

Off the top of my head, I know Zaslav and Co. shelved Minx right after it wrapped filming for its second season. It hadn’t finished post-production yet, but all the photography was done. The show got rescued by Starz, which bought the second season.

And it’s an outstanding school for theater/performing arts, too, which is what her daughter is majoring in.

I think it was largely a paper trail thing. Macy knew what was going on, but Huffman was the who interacted with the corrupt guy. She was the one caught on tape and the one signing the checks, I think. So it all fell on her.

When it comes down to it, I think that some people, despite having all the money and advantages possible, are just really not that bright.

Eh, does it really matter? One item on the list is from a chain with a smaller geographic footprint and reach than the others. So be it. Folks in the Midwest gets tons of messaging about stuff that only exists on the coasts. It happens. Culvers is in the process of expanding (5 years ago you could barely find one

The size of their cup of soup is downright pathetic. It’s actually part of why I stopped going there. Several times in a row I got home, opened the bag and found this teeny tiny cup that was only half-full of soup at that. For $6. Bullshit. It’s basically like 4 oz of soup now if you’re lucky. I’ve also gotten several

It’s really good, but I think it’s only available seasonally in the summers.

I physically cringed when I read that part. Yikes, Felicity, you’re making some bad decisions. She should probably sit in on one of her daughters’ college classes in rhetoric and composition because she sucks at reading her audience.

“It felt like I had to give my daughter a chance at a future,” said Huffman. “And so it was sort of like my daughter’s future, which meant I had to break the law.”

Oh yeah, I think I remember hearing something about that a while ago. Panera isn’t in my regular rotation and hasn’t been for a while because I refuse to pay $17 for half of a sandwich and a cup of soup.

Does Panera really only have seven soups on the menu now? I feel like they used to have a ton more and rotated them each day of the week, with a few staples (chicken noodle, black bean) that were on the menu every day. All in all this is a pretty sad list, in part because Panera got rid of some of their better soups.

I read that yesterday, and it made my day. (And then I had to explain to my dad, a generally disengaged but well meaning old white guy, why Kissinger should have been tried for war crimes because he was directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of millions of people).

To me, there are a few miniseries that stand out as exemplars of the genre: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and Chernobyl, and Generation Kill. I’m sure there are others, but these three for me epitomize how to use the medium of television to tell a spy story, a political/disaster story, and a war story.

I love that his feelings are hurt about not being invited to the White House. Such a lack of introspection. Dude, you’re radioactive and unpredictable. Why in the world would anyone put you front and center in front of the White House press corps?

Everything Donald Trump just gets thrown into a black void in the back of my brain. I can’t give him anymore brain space.
