A few observations:

You can go to allmusic for a comprehensive list of new releases, or I assume EW or some such for a discussion of pop. This feature is called “our most anticipated” where “our” refers to the site’s reviewers, who have good taste in music.

I mean it’s a subjective list of anticipated upcoming albums, not a comprehensive list of what’s coming out. And since the people making this list have decent taste, Imagine Dragons and Mumford and Sons aren’t gonna come anywhere near that list.

At this point that flag is as coopted as an old Sanskrit symbol for wellbeing and good fortune.
