Many (MANY) conscientious objectors served in the military as “noncombat” soldiers like medics and/or admin staff, etc and did not carry weapons. That does NOT mean they weren’t right there when Hell broke loose, it just means when they rescued that wounded soldier they ran into the battlefield and did their job…
