I started getting full screen ads on my old gs5 that I use. Turns out the Samsung remote app updated itself (auto updates off) to the “new” Peel remote app. Removed updates and disabled seems to have fixed it.

Or do what I did and build a new box when it sounded like the HD was going. Then vacuum old box out and it returns to silence... This is the expensive option
