I think I was dazzled with my attraction to the Eddie character on first-watch (along with freaking out to the maybe-Stephen-King's-IT-reference with the sweatlodge), so I didn't realize how messy the whole commune thing was. On rewatch, I was seriously longing for that cliffhanger episode to rescue me from boredom.
