Ha! Whenever I try to argue with a particularly annoying type of FFVII fanboy, I always bring up that Phantasy Star II did it almost 10 years before. And then I get flashbacks about how weirdly difficult that game was for 10-year-old me.
I'm playing this game for the first time through the mobile version as we speak. While the controls are kind of icky, I realized how truly magical this game was when I experienced the Opera scenes. I can't wait to experience the rest of the game.
I know what he did was beyond terrible, but his whole story is just so damn tragic. I can't help but to feel sorry for him. I know Season 2 is considered a bit of a mess, but I feel it's got plenty of great parts like his characterization.
In my opinion, Locke's descent/journey/descent again is one of the greatest pieces of character development in television history. It's tragic, yes, but also believable.
