I was going to suggest something similar. Could we incentive it even more? If you get the #1 pick, you get extra cap room for two years. That gives you a chance to build around a star with another star (possibly) or role-playing talent. After that “window” is closed you become just like every other team.

I wonder if a lot of strive/frustration comes from being around your teammates all the time. Even if they’re not “working” NBA players are around each other a lot - practice, film review, warm ups, in the locker room, buses/flights to and from the arena. One of my biggest frustrations with Destiny is Bungie constantly moves the goal posts or reinvents the rules of the game. And as a casual player, it’s just frustrating.

You and other hardcore gamers don’t “own” this game. You have no right to look down on casual gamers and be upset that they now “have everything.”
