Sure, but Activision/Blizzard is not a Chinese game company, they’re an American game company. Tencent, Huawei and Alibaba are so powerful in China because they’re backed (and really controlled) by the Chinese Communist Party; there’s no way you’ll get anything more than the smallest slice of the Chinese market, both

You can use data and science. I’m going to use my illusion.

Tencent also owns 5% of Activision Blizzard, who are also in the news for banning a Hearthstone player for supporting the Hong Kong protests.

People who love cooking are really bad at imagining there are people who don’t love cooking.

So we agree that Trump has likely never smoked weed, but he’s for sure taken enough perscription pills to kill most of the race horses on Earth, right? I mean, I see him doing that and not counting it as “drugs” because it was from a doctor, or some sort of “medical person” who told him it would increase his manliness

SI Groverlords warned there was a monstrous layoff at the end of the book.

You are the same as every closet racist and bigot and I have zero respect for your actual viewpoint, which is obvious BTW. When you say, “I agree, but...” and what follows is exclusively against “I agree,” everyone knows what you really feel. And the fact that you are too much of a coward to openly state how you truly

How’s that boot taste?

Stop. You're bad at it.

I just cancelled my WoW subscription, not because of “free speech”, but because I don’t want to support the company after this decision.

Thanks for replying again. It gives me the opportunity to drop another, even more damning quote from your original comment into the mix.

Funny how

>In this case blizzard had a set of rules and regulations they clearly set out in a clause.

Seeing the name “Rachel Ray” attached to SI, does not make a sports fan like me feel good about the new management/owners.

“Calling us a content mill is highly inaccurate. It’s more of a content commercial dairy farm, with all of the employees chained up in uncomfortable stalls. Definitely not a mill.”

i really respect the hell out of y’all for the journalism on this subject, really in depth, no punches pulled. When I was a wee teenager I dreamed of being a sports writer, specifically someone who worked for Sports Illustrated. Jeff Pearlman’s SI story about John Rocker that exposed him as a future FoxNews

I like the frequent use of “empowering” in an email that’s all about decimating established professions. They may as well have said, “we’re ‘empowering’ you to take that first step in your exciting new career as Freelance Blogger with No Benefits or Even a Paycheck!!!”

They keep using the word entrepreneurs. Don’t they really mean subcontracted freelancers. I don’t think they plan on paying these people for their expenses.

“These entrepreneurs are independent, third-party businesses that are provided access to Maven’s digital platform to post their content.” Any freelancer can become an LLC by paying a fee...”
