The books are unreadable trash. Can attest that Martin is so bad at writing sex that it caused me to genuinely, seriously wonder whether he’d ever even seen a naked human woman, let alone experienced sex of any form. i love HBO but there was no need for any of it. there was no need for that sex scene in the 1st episode of Watchmen either. Showtime series usually lose me after a couple episodes because they can never seem to get away from it and it only hurts the flow of the story.
