Yeah dude, people definitely pour their time into a video game because they’re told it’s cool not because they enjoy playing it.

I see the perfect game of PUBG as only firing 1 head shot to go from 2nd to 1st :).

That’s fine with me - the game is king of the hill survival, not an FFA. Hiding is a legitimate tactic.

I am slightly concerned that these post apocalyptic/battle royal games and movies are influencing people to only see a violent route if the world does go to hell instead of working together to rebuild their local society and general good of the population.

I’m pretty sure I’ve played a game, if not several, that did pretty much the exact same thing when it came to horse taming. I mean how else are you meant to tame a horse other than sneaking up on it and riding it whilst hoping to break it?

i have a 970 gtx and i’ve never had sever lag in the game. And I run it at high everything. When was the last time you played it?

The stuff I’m talking about here is basic child psychology. On the chance you ever have kids, please actually read up on what is and isn’t good for your kids well being. Don’t assume that buying whatever your kids want is the best way to make them happy.

You’re calling all parents who don’t buy everything their kids want dicks, that’s hardly civilized. And I’m just repeating back what you’ve already told us. Your father did spoil you, and it did lead to you believing that a kid not getting a new console is tantamount to torture.

Your father raised you to believe that delayed gratification is a form of torture. Not sure he did you any favors there, especially if you think that happiness is tied to indulgence.   

Not just an Asian thing, plenty of other parents don’t rush to buy their kids whatever they want. My parents gave me a small weekly allowance and usually if I asked for something, they’d tell me that I could save up and buy it myself.

With all due respect not a single person is supporting your opinion. It doesn’t really matter in the end but this is one of those things where if you look at your comment in 1-2 years you’ll ask yourself what you were thinking when you posted this.

Ever think that maybe if your father didn’t buy you everything, you might have learned some self restraint and not consider delayed gratification to be a form of torture?

Being able to afford something does not mean a parent should go get whatever their kid wants. Like another person said, she might be trying to teach her kid some basic fiscal responsibility. Or, the kid already has many systems and games.
