Ford didn’t have the benefit of robots when they started, and the automobile itself, as well as the assembly line were still new inventions. They had practically no examples to follow.

You know, I’m usually one of the first to jump on Tesla, as a lot of their stuff seems rushed.

Since they hit the number, do the workers get the full raise?

Well, you have 18 months to worry about that.

I find it funny everyone went from ‘Tesla will never build 5k a week, Tesla is a failure’ to ‘that factory is very dirty, Tesla is a failure’.

This is rather ridiculous.

Agreed. Starting a car company is, in the words of Mr. Trump, “Who knew it would be this hard.” Ford, GM, etc, have a century of experience to go on. While one could ask “why didn’t Tesla hire some of those experts?” it’s also fair to take a clean-sheet approach and ask “What about today’s manufacturing process could

That’s how they built American cars in the ‘70s, before Toyota taught the knuckle-draggers at NUMMI how to build quality products.

I’ve been to steel processing plants that were clean enough to eat off the ground. And I’ve seen ones that looked like they haven’t been updated or cleaned since 1950.

Kinda funny that Ford is mocking them when they started in a similar way. Constant changes to make cars easier to assemble and a focus on vertical integration.  I don’t get all the negativity on Tesla or why anyone would cheer for the most American car company in existence to fail. They are a very young company that

I give them gargantuan credit. Has there been a single mass production, 100% upstart car manufacturer.... well, since... heck, the fifties?

Agreed. It’s just bad faith to take an oath to defend the law and Constitution of the United States when you know full well there’s a “higher” authority to which you adhere.

It’s the only science they seem to care about. Climate science, immunization, evolution, all that other stuff is Fake Science

Exactly. Remember how the Duggar girls played it when they were doxxed? They claimed the media violated them worse than their brother did.

I don’t think this is likely to work. I grew up in this environment, and I can tell you there’s nothing this crowd loves doing more than forgiving one of their own for some allegedly mortal sin, provided they throw themselves on Jesus’s mercy and publicly recommit themselves to the approved value set. They won’t turn

I respect that. I’m fairly secure in my job and in a hot job market so I can stick my neck out, especially when a lot of people can’t.

I guess you don’t like having a job. I’m *this close* to be hired after being unemployed after 8 months. They are giving me full benefits I’m not rocking the boat if they don’t cover abortion.

Yes, this. Absolutely this. Men don’t care about us. It’s time to stop caring about them.

Are you a clinic worker who recognized that patient from FOX news?

This has been percolating in my head for a while, but now seems like the time to let it out. We know that conservative, republican, christian women have abortions, and it’s time to start naming and shaming them. Not shaming them for having abortions; shaming them for supporting an idealogy that removes body autonomy
