Or maybe

The Other Possibility, almost as juicy: it’s Hannity who knocked up and paid off the lady who needed an abortion.

But, per my steely-eyed paramour, that is incorrect.

Much like Mueller, he’s getting Alllll his ducks in a row. No need to rush.

Support wild[ly valid] assertions that he is your boyfriend, but am wondering what Michael Avanetti needs to do to graduate from “sort-of-sexy” to just plain sexy? Like damn those are some high beauty standards, Megan. Be a shame if we gave men a complex trying to live up to them.

Yeah, I agree. I mean, Nick is rich and hot, and that’s great, but miss me with that “ohh I just want you to treat them normally” shizz, Nick. If your family owns 70% of Singapore, warn a girl before you bring her home.

How can women ever get ahead when a woman like this makes a great film and you all just want to tear her down. Progress is never made without unity.

This isn’t a comment on the movie per se but I have an overwhelming impression that Amy Schumer can’t win no matter what she does. This article isn’t anything overtly bad but she sure does seem to be held to an impossible standard that we don’t impose on everyone.

Aidy Bryant is larger than Amy Schumer and doesn’t appear to have the same crippling low self esteem. This movie is about ONE type of woman who has low self esteem. If you see yourself in that the overall message is “give less fucks”. I don’t understand the criticism being thrown at this movie.

The only good thing about this movie is that it feels like it was made long before now - before Donald Trump was president - and for that reason it comforts me.

What is it with head injuries as tickets to other realities? I just watched I Am Not an Easy Man on Netflix and it has the same setup.

Exactly. We’ve been hearing this “it’s up to you to change how others perceive you” message for decades, and now that it’s 2018 it’s starting to sound like a close relative of victim blaming. Ultimately, our culture needs to change.

Is any other actress held to this standard? Go make a movie, make it REALLY funny, but be VERY careful to make it 100% about female empowerment. That sounds hard.

I think this is a case where people who are attractive are noticed even if they offer nothing else outwardly.

We can’t change society and the emphasis media places on “conventional” beauty overnight. But shit. If we could all be a little more accepting of our imperfect selves in the meantime, wouldn’t that be great? Huh? I liked this movie even though it’s imperfect. People like shitting on Amy but I hope she keeps trying.

It’s hard to take Schumer as an ugly duckling seriously until you realize the writers’ frame of reference is entertainment. It would have been more cohesive with a better backstory to explain that but it’s only a movie. People who work in or around entertainment, beauty, modeling, etc. are very judgmental by nature.

Pretty sure Amy gets Netflix money too...

I agree with this! I don’t hate Amy at all, and I have liked her a lot in other things (except Snatched, which truly was bad, poor Goldie). But I don’t think she’s beautiful in the Hollywood way either. She’s average-looking absolutely. Frankly, the jokes I’ve seen in the trailer where she’s in her trance and is

It’s a GD movie... They don’t all have to be comprehensive essays on the philosophical underpinnings of patriarchal society.

Why not? Its basically Shallow Hal 2.0
