When teenagers find the motivation and follow through they are pretty fucking scary. You will never have more energy than when you are a teen. They can outdistance all of us olds who need a nap every now and then.

Some of them might already be voting! We had an 18 year old in our senior class and we discussed him voting for the first time in our ap gov class. I remember we were all v excited. It was also in 2000, so a pretty important election. Granted dude turned out to be a raging republican trump supporter. But point stands…

It’s a wonderful idea because lots of kids feel voiceless and powerless - they can’t vote and they don’t have money to give but they see problems in our society and in our world and what can they do? They can do this. I’m talking to my kids about it today after school.
