I am in love with him, being his best out and proud gay self, and skating his lovely and 100% real ass off.

He didn’t nail all his jumps, though. His triple Lutz was underrotated. If it had been fully rotated, he would’ve scored higher of Kolyada.

EVERYONE fell in Sochi. Such a disappointing men’s final. Here’s hoping we get a better event this time!

They released it when they did in part for that reason :-)

Athletes who proved themselves clean were allowed to compete, but only as “Olympic Athletes from Russia.” No flag, no anthem, neutral uniforms, etc.

Adam skated so well, and I felt that his PCS (artistic/performance) score should’ve been a point or two higher. But you can’t underrotate your triple Lutz when you don’t have a quad in your program. If the Lutz had been all the way around, he would’ve beaten Kolyada.

They’re allowed to participate but it doesn’t count for Russia officially, just for them as individuals and they have to do extra doping tests...except somehow they’re allowed to be in this team skating competition, which makes no sense.

Some of the Russian athletes petitioned and were allowed to compete as part of the ‘Olympic Athletes from Russia’. Others were denied because ??? That’s the part I’m fuzzy on. Because they were caught doping, I guess, or were close enough to the scandal that they were deemed a risk.

Stop being hyperbolic about the Olympics?!? You are literally the worst person to ever live on this or any other planet.

Yeah, I am kind of dissapointed they were allowed to compete as a team. I have no issue with the IOC allowing individuals in individual events or teams such as 4 man bobsled to compete, but they should not have allowed this type of team competition to go forward.

He won in the interview. Talking about how he and Marai were depressed they weren’t in Sochi and got In-N-Out. Saying he wanted to throw up or ask the judges for Xanax before his program. He stole my heart.

Patrick Chan. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Oh lort. That poor guy chokes almost every dang time. I want him to win so badly.

Itonically, this whole form of judging started when the judges got slammed for rewarding a safe, clean program over a messier one with a quad.

I, Tanya couldn’t have been released at a better time—I honestly wouldn’t have given a shit 3 months ago.

A Canadian is going to get angry? Woah, this must be serious.

I’m Canadian and for real I will flip a table if Virtue and Moir don’t win. I remember raging out in 2002 also. You’re not wrong that the judging is super corrupt but you are WRONG that nobody cares. Godddd why did you bring up Sale and Pelletier now I’m all heated.

This is the best part of the Olympics, everyone suddenly becomes experts in sports we know nothing about and only half pay attention to every four years. Actually, it is the second best part, the first best part (also known as the best) is when the curlers have those little meetings.

I haven’t watched this myself yet and was with you (flawless > falls) until you said he didn’t attempt a quad. I am about the same level of figure skating expert as a lot of girl-children of the 90's (RABID during the Olympics and sometimes I watch certain routines if I wanna cry)....not including a quad in a men’s

Great routine.

All of the figure skaters on Twitter were losing their mind over this and it made me feel so warm and happy inside. :’)
