And these days she's effortlessly putting Weird Twitter to shame on a regular basis. Nobody has mastered the art and science of emoji deployment like Cher has.

It's just a perfect movie. All three leads are incredible (Herbert Marshall carries himself with more effortless poise and cool on one leg than I will ever manage on two) but it's Miriam Hopkins who makes the biggest impression on me. She's so hilarious and adorable and modern (her character wouldn't be out of place

Thanks, Olaf.

Was she wearing a gown by Pepi, though?

"I've only had one mistress, and her name is Propane. Peggy and I have an understanding about that."

"You're being such a non-pillow right now."

I like the live version better because it swings back and forth between extremes of unbridled joy and trepidation, while the original has a more consistently tentative tone. The former is less subtle but more moving if you ask me. I love both versions, but yeah.

I do like how the incredibly stupid twist in the third Austin Powers ended up unwittingly preemptively parodying the incredibly stupid twist in the latest Bond movie, though.

How should I know? I'm still in grade school!

FLCL has some parodic elements but I wouldn't call it a parody.

"He wrote a book about the deep mysteries of EVA."

Chris Elliott elevates everything he's in, and he's the only funny part of that movie.

"I'm the leader of the Beatles."
