But there's already a direct George W. Bush analogue on GoT and it's Dany.

AS WELL THEY SHOULD

There is something very perverse and Kamon-esque about the whole thing isn't there.

Crystal Pepsi is timeless.

Ha, this was almost word for word my initial reaction too.

"My avatar is still wearing eyebrows; I've been trying my best to shed them."

This is good news, my poor bootleg "P!" logo shirt is steadily falling apart.

Seriously though seeing Naota as a sad adult in this would be unbearably depressing and I desperately hope they don't do it.

I'd throw Chuck Jones and Jean-Luc Godard into that salad too.

People are talking about FLCL again. If that's the only good thing to come of this I would pretty much be okay with that.

WHAT ABOUT EYEBROWS

No less than there is for Samurai Jack or Gilmore Girls or Shaq Fu.

That alone makes it all worth it.

Honestly for me this is like hearing about Citizen Kane 2: Kane Harder or Hamlet II: The Quickening or 2 Mona 2 Lisa, BUT STILL.

Yeah, it seems like even in the best case scenario this will be a Rebuild of Evangelion-esque watering down of the original's style and tone. Which, well, whaddayagonnado.

Not even close, considering there's still no word on if any of the original personnel are coming back, and even if they are it's not like Tsurumaki or even the pillows have been doing such great work lately. Plus the original is a perfectly structured self-contained story and a big part of why this news is so

DUDE

This comment makes me realize that at the very least these new episodes will get everyone discovering/talking about/quoting FLCL again, which single-handedly justifies their existence regardless of their (probably dubious) quality.

I JUST HEARD ABOUT THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME AND NOW I'M DEAD

Oh you're not alone. "Run Away With Me" and "Your Type" are my jams.
