Birdman over literally anything that isn't Birdman.

Oh please. Even setting aside the race issue, Oscar nominations are the result of politics, commerce and simple inertia just as much as they're the result of merit, if not more so. Studios launch multimillion dollar awards campaigns to sway Academy members' decisions every year, and anonymously interviewed Academy

Samuel L. Jackson, Michael B. Jordan, Benicio del Toro, Teyonah Parris, Kitana Kiki Rodriguez, Mya Taylor.

I forgot about that. "World of Tomorrow." In theaters. I'm plotzing.

I think it's time I track down Iggy Pop and see if he'll give me Oscar Wilde's magic space alien brooch.

Deadwood 2: The Secret of the Booze

YES, FINALLY! For a while there I was worried this whole revival trend would pass with a new Shaq Fu but no Deadwood.

That wasn't in an environment where shows were being revived left and right though. There's reason to be more optimistic now.

"Free gratis" is a redundancy.

Dillahunt will play the severed Indian head Al keeps in that box.

Always dragging that fucking third season!

Yeah, like I said in my last post, all the increasingly sophisticated ostensible kids' shows from this decade are the closest thing I've seen to the sort of trend the others in this thread are talking about.

The line is obviously going to be sort of arbitrary no matter where we draw it, but I'd say a show would have to have debuted in the past few years if we're going to call it part of a trend, and that a show going on seven seasons can safely be called "older." I'm wary of using older shows that are still going strong

Archer is entering its seventh season.

Roky Erickson - "Two Headed Dog (Red Temple Prayer)"

Michael Hurley - "Hog of the Forsaken"

The Modern Lovers - "Pablo Picasso"

Is adult TV animation making a comeback? Other than Rick & Morty and BoJack Horseman I'm struggling to think of any recent successes. And FOX's attempt to make their own Adult Swim-esque block pretty much fizzled out. And Cassius and Clay was just preemptively cancelled.
