Skylar becomes a much more interesting and sympathetic character over the course of the series, as she starts to actually find ways to push back against Walt's bullshit.

Yeah, BB is wildly entertaining and extremely well-made, and that's more than good enough for me. But a lot of fans (and critics) seem to ignore its inherent pulpiness and instead go on about all sorts of Deep Themes, and I'm just not seeing it. Things like the twins or the "Gus-splosion" are goofy and cartoonish, in

"But the sheik who won me in that poker game was beheaded!"

"Say what you said to me that night at the lake."

No, that's "A Culture of Rape." It's easy to get them confused.

Actually, "Sanford and Son" is the American remake of a British show called "Steptoe and Son."

Obviously she's going to use a weaponized left-handed Rickenbacker 4001.

"I'm not a little girl, I'm a bionic woman."

Oh man, for some reason I wasn't even thinking about video game references before. I'd probably get a Franklin Badge, or Mr. Saturn, or something else Mother/EarthBound-related.

THIS. I can't get one on account of being Jewish, but if I did it would either be this one or the four katakana characters for "Furi Kuri."

What about a teenage cartoon character in a coma?

"Looks like someone had a good bathroom break."

I wouldn't even call Meelo ugly, really, just adorably goofy-looking.
He's quickly become one of my favorite characters, and not just because of THOSE EYEBROWS.

I hope you're right, but to me it seemed a lot more like indulging than trolling. It's obviously too early to tell, and I'll give Bryke the benefit of the doubt on pretty much anything, but from this episode alone I got the unsettling vibe that Mako exists solely to placate the Zutara shippers.

Boeuf.

Ohhh, durka durka durka.

Tasuke!
