... and no one cares.

I get it. But if you’re pro choice, you’re pro choice, regardless of reason. I don’t care if someone has an abortion because they don’t want or couldn’t handle a special needs child (personally I think that’s fair, not everyone is equipped to handle that - emotionally or financially), or they use abortions as birth

People with food sensitivities should push back on that garbage because it leads to things like “cauliflower crust” pizza that is mostly wheat flour with some cauliflower thrown in so people can delude themselves into thinking it’s healthier.”

You can’t only apply the rules of justice when there isn’t an imbalance of power. That’s not realistic. And not releasing the name to the public is one thing but not letting the defense know? There’s no way anyone can defend themselves properly without that knowledge.

Plus, you’d have to show a compelling need for secrecy sufficient to overcome the public’s interest in access, and while I feel for victims, I think ultimately the public’s interest, and fairness to the defense, has to prevail except in very exceptional circumstances.

I agree. There’s just no way around it. I also think protection should be provided to the accusers in cases like this one though.

I agree it sucks for these women however I don’t agree with people being able to sue other people anonymously, just in principle. But I also think there should be protection available when necessary.

Same here.

I had to go on an elimination diet (anti-inflammatory protocol) for health reasons and it is a fucking pain in the ass, and I can’t imagine doing it just to lose weight if there were other options. First there’s the super strict part where you get rid of basically everything, and then you have to meticulously track

Why do Americans have to be so fucking extreme about everything and try to make a lifestyle out of it? And then try to make money off their extreme shit?

I blame growing up in suburbs. I’m not even joking. I’m not American and since living here, I have noticed that the (most often white) people in the US who are the most afraid of, well, pretty much everything, especially when they are living in cities, all have one thing in common: they were raised in the suburbs

Is there anything worse than Evangelical basics?

Yup.

Who’s doing that? You don’t need to convince me nothing will ever top the deliciousness of good cow’s milk. Unfortunately, as my body decided to stop digesting milk and it now turns me into a gassy, inflamed mess, I had to look for the next best thing.

Pump up the volume is amazing.

“I think that there is an entire generation that doesn’t get satire, really.”

Yeah u have a friend who’s basically a libertarian hippie/wellness fanatic and anti-vaxxer and this is her thinking. She keeps spewing that the percentage of fatalities is low, covid is basically a cold, she also refuses to wear masks and the subtext is very clear: if you get sick and die, it’s your own fault for

While I’m glad it’s gaining traction, it’s disingenuous to pretend it has the same sort of traction as BDS, or that it’s used to gauge people’s leftist bona fides the way BDS is. Or that the left hasn’t been obsessing over Israel while ignoring Saudi Arabia for decades.

Let me know when year movement gains even half as much traction as BDS has.
