Re: Lenny/Amy — I thought about that, too. I wonder if that’s part of the reason David has kept Lenny so close all this time. It’s like he had his sister there with him. Lenny killing herself meant David felt doubly abandoned and alone.

Absolutely. Thank you for expressing that so well. I really am worried that this show, which I like so much, is going to give up on telling a difficult and compelling story because the optics are bad.
If we’re going to talk about victims on this show, then I think we need to apply the label fairly. In other words, Syd doesn’t get to be some kind of ‘real’ victim while David is just “set[ting] up a narrative” in which he’s a victim. Both of these characters have been (repeatedly) mind controlled, and it’s still…
Yeah, that makes David what...65 years old? I didn’t realize he was a Baby Boomer.
THANK YOU. I suppose that was the easy answer, but I totally didn’t catch it. Ugh -- I still hate the (almost entirely) unexamined after-effects of the snap, but at least I don’t have to completely hate Brad now.
So many of the things about the snap/blip irritate me, but most of all: can someone explain how the character of Brad in this movie made any sense?
I love that Legion (the show) paid for that entire scene of Farouk playing O Tannenbaum as a prelude to a conversation. That was what, like 10 actors and costumes and a location and a piano and music rights they had to pay for? This show definitely knows how to do spectacle.
Yes! That could be part of the reason why she gets dusted so quickly in the fight scenes, too.
How do I give this comment 1 million stars? Season 2 was meant to be difficult.
I love the Loudermilks. And Kerry seems to have overcome her aversion to eating and digestion, which is a subtle bit of progress for her.
Yes, but we’re not talking about her powers. We’re talking about her emotions, which are -- as usual -- entirely apparent.
I disagree that Syd is a cypher — she’s just transparent. And really, she always has been. She wants what she wants, and she either gets it or she gets mad. I think maybe the subtle (and amazing) performance by Rachel Keller is confusing to some people. But it’s clear that her motive right now is revenge. And it’s…
I was thinking the same thing re: Legion - it’s a bunch of characters who will work together if they have to, but don’t particularly like or trust each other. Very similar in an emotional sense, although the two shows definitely get different grades around here.
Wow - I agree that the Umbrella Academy drags a bit, but a few counterpoints:
I believe you could find an answer by searching for that exact phrase on the Internet.
The answer is yes.
How many times does Mysterio take his shirt off in that comic? Just wondering.
Will Mysterio be taking his shirt off at any point? Asking for a friend.
I sighed with relief halfway through this episode as I realized that Chibnall was finally getting (most) things right. I like that the new Doctor is fun and kooky, but I enjoy the show more when the character is tinged with some anger and menace. I don’t like it when she gets too comforting and relatable — she is an…
