I think it’s a lot like a pitcher known for control being more likely to get a call on the edge of the plate. The officials are human, so there are going to be certain biases, subconscious or not.

Minnesota was only called for two penalties Sunday night. Those Philly fans must be the worst!
1. Cut all the brownies and place them on a plate.
I said elsewhere, I don’t think the Refs are ever like, “beep, beep...NFL Protocol, Patriots must win...Beep Beep.”
But I do think home field advantage plays into it, plus the unending narrative of the Patriots discipline. At least 5-billion times a game the announcers gooze over how strict Belichick is and how any…
Do you believe NFL referees’ calls are influenced by the league’s desire for a particular team to win?
Uh, no dude. At most the top one or two players get cherry-picked every season, and that would be one phenomenally-stacked roster. The rest get, at most, a piece of paper with an official market value of about $176,000 (assuming you came from out-of-state) in exchange for labor that has a market value worth millions…
The entire team? Damn. Hard to believe that he’s sending 14 kids to the NBA this year. Huge if true.
Wouldn’t it be super ironic if Calipari were employed at a publicly funded and operated institution?
“The problem with socialism is, at some point, you run out of the student-athletes’ money.”
+ ein volk, + ein reich, + ein führer
And all at a state institution.
If anything, his style is a form of socialism. He would get top recruits, any of which could have been “the man” at another school, and got them to give up their own personal statistics for the good of the team. Also, nobody was paid and he made millions. Wait, that’s communism. My bad.
Well, national anyway.
Ah yes, Duke University, alma mater of noted socialists Richard Spencer and Stephen Miller.
I love this and feel like it could be the tag line for virtually every romantic comedy. Or a really touching memorial for me and the wife.
Pretty sure I read that people who spend a long time in space get all fucked up without Wizards mediocrity there to ground them.
John Wall is a great player, there’s no doubt about that. However, I don’t understand how people keep squinting their eyes at Beal and seeing Klay Thompson, he is a solid starter that the Wizards have brainwashed into believing that he should be performing and getting shots up at an All-Star level.
Their record wouldn’t be the same if they were in the West.
Usually a Wizard would use a crystal ball to see what the future holds but in this case, someone would probably just huck it at John Wall’s head.
My opinion is not scientific but it’s also not subjective either. Didn’t say bad versus better. I said the games are harder. Harder games means the teams can exhaust faster. La Liga has higher scores I think in part to less difficult conditions and gameplay.
