Watching that collapse reminds me of those old “Wanna get away?” Southwest Airlines commercials, but only if in the commercial the plane crashed killing everyone on board.

I once worked at a college bar that bought this $3000 ID scanner. The bar owner told everyone, even had the newspaper do a story on it. This alarmed me because being a college bar half our crowd used fake ID’s. So I asked the owner why he bought this, we were going to lose a fortune. The owner smiled and shook his

I would pay good money to watch Bartolo Colon play Pablo Sandoval in some sort of hybrid 1 on 1 fat guy baseball league next year.

I don’t know if you could ever truly classify Bartolo as an “athlete".

Whoa whoa whoa. Chill with the racist language.

Colon family tree

With diminishing returns on all the Danadrol, HGH, and testosterone he’s been taking to extend his career, a desperate Bartolo Colon turned to the one PED he hasn’t yet tried, Uranium-238.

You’re right. Bulls over Tune Squad in six.

OK, but how do the Bulls stack up to the other legendary hoops team of 1996? Does MJ cancel out MJ? Does Pippin use his physicality to guard Taz or use his speed and length to stay on Bugs?

But frankly, neither team could have lay a finger on the Harlem Globtrotters during their peak.

He was doomed ever since Mike Francesa called him “SHWAWBOAR DA BUTCHA”

At the time, that was based on a bad defensive series on his part. His overall season in LF was fine, more than enough to justify keeping him in the lineup. A better offseason plan would have been to trade Baez and/or Soler for pitching, and keep the best player out of those 3. So I get why a Mets’ fan would think

Yeah I mean he was giving me Lucas Duda in the outfield flashbacks and it was obvious he shouldn’t be out there, but I still feel really bad for the Cubs on this one. They should have traded him or cleared some space in the infield (though they could get way more than relievers for him).

I won’t knock you for suggesting he be sent to the AL, but unless you’re getting Mariano Rivera in his prime, I’d roll the dice on letting Schwarber play the field and sock some dingers over dealing him for a guy or two you might get 80 innings of relief pitching a piece out of.

While he was just God awful in left in the NLCS overall he was just under average out there on the year. Plus you can’t say this was because he is a bad LF because he actually had a good read on that ball. He just didn’t hear/ignored Fowler at the worst possible time.

Don’t forget that time it rained.

good kinja

This is a good comment.
