The Second Circuit almost never goes en banc. Review by the Supreme Court might be more likely.

TL;Dr: I was wrong about his mistake, but the reported drop does NOT exist for drafted players.

My face is already quite punchable.

OK, instead of doing my real work today I re-did the WSJ career length analysis. I used only drafted players, and I defined players in each year as those who RETIRED in each year, per Pro Football Reference (PFR).

Here, you don’t see that linear cliff from 2008 onwards that the WSJ reported. You DO see a huge drop in

I mean look at the graphic. Career lengths are steady, even a bit of an uptick through 2008. And then WHAM, off a cliff.

2008 is almost exactly when you’d start expecting to see a sizeable number of active players among the guys who took snaps that year. As a result, that’s when your “career average” would start to

I have a major concern about this analysis. The WSJ article doesn’t give any details on who is included and who is excluded when calculating average career length for each given season. Is it every player who takes a snap in the NFL that year? Is it every player who retired that year?

If it’s the former, then obviously

How long do you think until steph starts hitting that at a 33% clip?

Steph Curry (thinking): “Hmmm...”

GOATSE?

This sounds like a great plot for an as-yet-unnamed Christopher Guest movie...which will, of course, be snubbed by the Academy.

Carter Cruise, Kate England, & Aidra Fox.

Will we ever have an EGOAT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, AVN, Tony)?

Which nominees are you honoring this year?

I hold my own show for AVN nominees.

Yo there are some very good Oscars in this world.

I do not see being hit by a car, list incomplete.

Renaming “Hateful 8" as “Racist Clue” is probably the best thing you have done in your entire life Drew.

Oscar Mayer should clearly be #1. Egregious snub.

OSCARS, RANKED;
