Perfection is attained, not where there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to remove. — Antoine de St. Exupery
Also, convertibles. But notice that BMW, among others, doesn’t suffer from a lack of diversity in their offerings. In fact, they have so much variety, it seems overwhelming to some.
You won’t know what you want in an electric car until you try using one for a while. Personally, I want a convertible EV.
Facebook is a public company and there are short sellers out there, one of which probably wrote this article.
Really, wasn’t smugness pioneered by ICE drivers with big engines and maybe even ballsacks on their trailer hitches?
Will Porsche Taycan have the shortest battery lifetime of any other EV? LEAF sets a high bar, but 350 kW is a lot...
I don’t think the cartoon means what you think it does. There are many other kW limits to choose from. ;-)
Well, something has to be done about all you fuckwits who treat other drivers as if they were an affront to your ownership of the entire road.
I always assumed the side swing door on my Honda CRV resulted from the mounting of a spare tire on it, like any other of that type that avoided mounting spares underneath to maximize ground clearance. Now why a E Type would have such a door may be more a matter of reaching the door when it is open?

I just got bit by another consideration when brakes don’t get much use. Two of my calipers seized up and had to be replaced, and that’s a bit more expensive than pads. I waited five years to get the brake fluid flushed and replaced, which may have been part of the problem. I thought Tesla would be taking care of that…
Did you notice the truck was towed beyond the starting point of the Model X?
Extension cords that carry 100 kW safely are not available.
We’ve done that a few times when we needed to use the facilities and-or windshield washers. It’s not malicious; you just don’t get those facilities when you need them with superchargers. Of course someone stays with the car to move it if anyone needs the pump. Wouldn’t do it at a booked up station.
Was it perhaps intended to be an EV without an engine?
Have a look at a Tesla; doesn’t matter which one...
As long as we’re talking B pillars and suicide doors, what about Porsche baiting and switching on the Taycan?
The US government owns a 60% stake in GM, which isn’t worth nearly what was paid for it. According to Snopes.com: “the total automaker bailout, including TARP money given to Chrysler, CBO estimates, will cost taxpayers about $34 billion.” We might want to try putting that kind of money into going ventures in the…
No grill needed, since waste heat is insignificant. Rivian clearly are not focused on aerodynamics like Tesla, so miles per kWh is not going to be as high, so batteries have to be bigger and will need a higher charging power to make a full charge in an hour.
