Not a WB/DC decision. This is all CBS being insular with a property they bought. If Berlanti had had his way, SG would have also been on the CW and they would have crossed over.

While I completely agree with you, it’s stupid on the part of CBS. We no longer live in a time where someone can only watch one prime time show at a time. Mixing and matching is better for *everyone*.

I kinda figured it would be a matter of time before the “no crossovers” announcement was made. There was absolutely zero chance of CBS saying “yeah sure, we don’t mind if you do a crossover episode that gets people to turn off a CBS program and tune in to CW for an hour during primetime TV”.

I’m a little sad, but not surprised, that Supergirl won’t be crossing over. The CW teams have enough plates spinning at the moment (with Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow), so I think it’s good that Supergirl is being given chance to grow on it’s own.

And Johns said they may decide to create the illusion that the Superman on the show is the same character you see in the films—although he wouldn’t answer one way or the other whether this show takes place in the same universe as Batman v Superman.

Their handling of her transition from the first game, as well as that cinematic teaser we saw of her in PTSD therapy gives me a little hope they know what they’re doing and are indeed going somewhere with this bloodthirsty Lara, narratively.
