I could see this being useful around your main or a sub electrical panel (stuffed into drywall above it), around electrical outlets (again, inside the drywall), and possibly anything running 20A/240V outlet (once more, inside the drywall), or where any volatile chemicals are being stored.

I agree, it is a fire extinguishing system. But it isn’t marketed as an extinguisher. Nor does it operate like one, or apparently suffer pressure loss like one.
