Well, personally I work with unions I am not a member of, my voting is consistently pro-worker, I do some volunteer work with progressive groups such as Move On (not enough), I actively avoid self-checkout when possible...nothing earth-shattering but it is what I can do.

I agree - a 10-item of less self checkout fine, it does speed life along for most people. But jobs MATTER. Work MATTERS. We NEED jobs for people who aren’t capable of earning a degree or learning a profession that (for now) is AI proof.

So...what will those people DO to earn their bread?

AI and technology displacing more and more workers...they slip this in when unemployment is low...and we are stuck with it when unemployment is high and people need jobs.
