I’m trying to wrap my head around saying wild as one syllable and I can’t do it. It’s wy-eld right? Do other people pronounce it is willed? Do they just say it really fast? I’m trying but the L gets in the way.

It can be both, according to Quiet Riot in their smash hit, “Cum On Feel The Noise”. The line “We’ll get Wild, Wild, Wild.” contains both the one syllable and two syllable pronunciations. Case closed.
