Moving shocks must always travel at a Mach number greater than 1, otherwise the flow relative to the shock would be subsonic meaning you’d never get a shock in the first place. The velocity of the air behind the shock can never exceed Mach 1 (relative to the normal of the shock front).

To be fair the normal shock relations (if you’re using the ones I think you are) tend to break down past Mach 5, so the temperatures you’ll actually see won’t be quite that high (dissociation and ionization suck up a lot of energy). Still hot as fuck mind you, just not 51,000 K.
