I saw the rallies, heard the chants, and read the online comments. I know what makes true Trump supporters tick, and it is not something that you can deal with logically or through education.

Bingo. I have a cousin who will not speak to me to this day because years ago, when I was seriously ill and struggling to pay massive medical bills (a fact she was fully aware of), I refused to spend $2500 on her destination wedding. A card and a gift were not sufficient in her opinion - or her mother’s. Some people…

But...weddings are boring*. I’d much rather be invited to a theme party than a stuffy church to hear 1st Corinthians again or whatever it is.

Also people are using this comment section to be pretty nasty about people they don’t think are dressing to their own personal standards. Apparently it hasn’t occurred to some commenters that not everyone has the money to run out to buy a formal occasion dress at the drop of a hat.
