Full agreement. We have a family member who was falsely accused of shoplifting at Sears years ago. After proof was shown (a receipt) the staff just shrugged and no apology was offered. Our family boycotted Sears and I like to think we added to their eventual demise.

“I was wrongly accused at my town’s best pizzeria.”

Sheldon was a loathsome main character? Thank/blame Seinfeld for shows where the cast are selfish unlikeable people. I do agree though; even when the show made me laugh I’d often be thinking “If I knew someone like this I’d punch them in the face.”
So you browbeat your wife out of watching a show she liked?
Sheldon is a

Yeah I couldn’t bring myself to post a comment on i09 yesterday. As a nerd and programmer I watch this show and enjoy it for the most part. I don't find it offensive at all. It's just a group of eccentric nerds with quirks that are exaggerated in an attempt to make good television. I never saw it as an attachment to

Its the McDonalds of sitcoms, everyone watches it, no one will admit it.

What? That makes no sense. First, considering that these are depressing times it would actually be a good thing if this popular show that makes people happy were to continue.  Also, I don’t see how people who don’t watch the show are really entitled to much of an opinion about it one way or the other.

I got to the show a couple seasons late, as whenever my wife was watching it, I thought it looked stupid and Sheldon looked like such a loathsome main character.

I GUARANTEE you that the final scene of the show will involve them all leaving the apartment, seeing that the elevator is finally fixed, and then all silently deciding to use the stairs anyway.

Still a better show than most Thursday Night Football games.

Bazingeich.

Hooray! In a shitty world in really shitty times, a show that managed to provide 20-something minutes of entertainment and escapism for millions of people around the world each week is finally ending! What a glorious day for people who don’t watch it to celebrate others no longer being able to watch something they

Here is how you fix it, shit can Young Sheldon then bring young Sheldon into the Big Bang Theory. You explain it as Sheldon switching places with his younger self after a piece of machinery engineered by Howard malfunctioned while Sheldon carried out an experiment thus creating a temporal fold.

The rest of the season

Her tenacity and her creativity in conjunction. She finds some unconventional solutions to lots of her problems, using her wits to take out several tasks that seem insurmountable: Joining the army, climbing the pole, taking out so many huns with one firecracker etc.

Pocahontas is my favorite. While Mulan took the place of her father to save his life, and ended up saving China, Pocahontas actually had to defy her father and ended up saving her village and probably the colonists too. I think it takes a different sort of courage to stand up to your loved ones for what you believe

I do wish that she’d accepted the offer from the emperor, but the entire reason she joined the army in the first place was to save her father from doing it cause she loved him. Mission accomplished, and she goes back to live with her dad. Having a slick imperial advisors job would probably have helped out a lot of

What if all mattresses were extra discounted for one or two holiday weekends per year?

The implication arguably discourages young women watching the film from believing they can be like her, because they’re told she’s a rare specimen.

I was going to frantically type “I don’t see The Good Place listed!”  because I really want to rewatch season two.  Then I remembered that it’s coming, I think next week.  Whew!

Further, I think a lot of these “flaws” are not so much furthering stereotypes as much as they are allowing Mulan to confront what is reality, whether we like it or not. If we changed/updated/removed all the “flaws” this movie wouldn’t be nearly as poignant, instead it would read like a complete fantasy, diluting its

That every show be perfect. That every show get renewed no matter how few people watch it. That every show cater to my very specific political leanings. That every show actively refuse to cater to the polar opposite of my political leanings, preferably with a title card at the beginning of every show.  And no
