If they let this show end with season 8 you can rank that finale as one of the best of all time. Talk about a tear jerker

yeah but it gave us that great episode where they start going to church solely for the free childcare

he did an AMA and said that they were anticipating him to still hit a pin or two but it would still get the joke across. When he managed to miss, everyone absolutely lost it laughing and I think he said you can kind of see him losing it in that scene as well.

Watched this show from when I was 11-12 to my Freshman year of college. I remember sitting in my dorm watching the finale and having a goofy smile on my face and simultaneously breathing a sigh of relief that the show was finally over.

I never rewatched either but that's exactly how I remember it as well. Season Premiere would end with the introduction of an ominous bad guy, only not to really be seen or heard from again until midseason finale, and then not actually fought until the season finale.
