I had a flight where we had just landed, and you could listen to the pilot talking to ATC. ATC asked our pilot if he could hurry up - and we could feel the engines spool back up a bit until we took our exit. You could see the next plane coming in - nothing like this of course.

Those float planes are LOUD too - you’d have to be completely oblivious to not hear one coming right at you.

For CAFE, what they need to do is tighten the definition of a truck. If its not a commercial vehicle - it shouldn’t get a break on fuel economy rules.

You left out Daviator’s comment on the Aquacar

None of the news sources we saw included the speed limit at the time, but it appears to be 70 mph. Even if it had been 75 mph, though, 154 mph would still be more than double the legal limit.

I see an Ocean on the road once in a while - they look really nice. I had a friend who had a deposit on one but gave up waiting a year or so ago.

Hard to blame Tesla for Porsche’s insane prices on their option list. That’s SOP for them.

Model 3 doesn’t have a gutter for diverting water when you use the windshield washer. So on any long drive the drivers window starts to look like this:

That pic would have been awesome with a 1-2-3-4-5-6-R pattern burned into his hand.

Also see C3 Corvettes had flush door handles worked out.

I hope they can find a buyer and turn things around. I’ve seen an Ocean around town a few times and it’s really sharp looking in person.

its really bad when the 1/4 Mile is quicker than the 0-60. I took a drive in a friends VW Diesel once, made my Chevette feel like a Corvette.

Agreed - particularly on the S. They have done a lot under the skin - but it going on 12 years.

Pretty sure my life insurance has an exclusion on this.

hey - they also took away the gear shift and turn signals. Isn’t that enough of a refresh?
