At least in Canada - those hatchbacks were the highest depreciating of any car at the time. I remember looking at the BlackBook pricing and after 1 year they were down 50%. I haven’t seen one on the road in years.

Not really. It was originally the perfomance trim level, then became standalone EVs which look like Volvos, and now Volvo makes full EVs which look like Polestars. Doesn’t seem necessary at all.
As an aside, I really don’t get the point of Polestar anymore.
I would love to see a road racing series with this spec of car. Watching some of the practice laps - its seriously impressive.
