i feel like there's a fine line between stupidity and negligence, and it's usually a bad consequence. if the baby had died of dehydration, they 100% would be facing criminal negligence and manslaughter charges. just because nobody is dead doesn't mean their behavior wasn't risky and endangering.

Waiting to see if they'll be arrested like the woman who left her kids in the car during a job interview.

A 12-year-old with an iPod is not a grownup who ought to have the decency and integrity to acknowledge their situation. It's not the fact that she was lucky enough to have parents that are willing and able to pay for her education, but that she thinks it's normal or even possible for most people to do that. It's not.

Fact. I broke up with my last serious boyfriend midway through an episode of Little People, Big World, a show with which we had an unexplainable mutual fascination.
