He's married to someone equally adorable- a model or singer or whatnot. I remember reading some adorable story about how they fell gobsmack in love. I picture them just spending their time adorbsing about together. I also always think it is SO funny that Max doesn't wear his wedding ring when filming the show. They

That's not how the three or so I've seen have been set up.... so I can only speak from my experience. Generally speaking, I still personally find the idea tacky no matter how it's set up.

That hasn't been the case for the few I've seen- older, established couples who didn't need household goods, etc.

Nope, most vacation registries that I have seen offer gifts in units of $50. I don't like the lack of flexibilty. For example, for a wedding I am not attending, I may want to send a token gift valued at $75. One unit won't cut it, and two units in this case is more than I would have budgeted.

None of the ones I have known did this. Like I said earlier, that's the way to go. No pressure.

Because most of the time there are set denominations....leaving (as I said in another earlier comment) the giver with looking/feeling cheap to just get "one share" or unable to afford double that. It also seems a little gift-grabbee. Take the cash from my enevelope and spend it on the honeymoon on whatever makes you

Those aren't the scenarios to which I was alluding.

It is convenient for some, I am sure, but still just seems greedy especially since (at least the ones I have seen) have specific amounts listed so then the issue becomes that purchasing one activity/credit looks 'cheap' but more than one isn't really affordabe. ie not just being able to toss in whatever amount one

PLEASE don't get me started on people who "register" for honeymoon funds. I plan to give cash anyway, but please don't put it out there that you would really love my $ to specifcally go towards a snorkel excursion or champagne and rose petal bubblebath. NOPE.

Goody for you if you're able to do that. I would rather be able to eat and pay rent.

That's somewhat different than living in the States and having the attitude (especially when the wedding date is during a cold weather month) "HEY, loved ones! We expect you all to join us in Mexico or Jamaica." Congrats, btw!

It's ok! I felt like an asshole when a friend (I wasn't in the wedding) got married across country in San Fran and no way, even working, could I afford airfare.....

One of the weddings I was in: You know how the bridal shops upsize the dresses being ordered with the idea that things can be altered in versus taken out more easily if necessary? (Something I always had a problem with- unless pregnancy is a possibiity, just let me order my damn dress in my correct damn size.) Anyway,

I just can't with Destination Weddings. Elope and then come back and foot the bill for a nice welcome back/congratulatory reception. We will still bring cards stuffed with cash/purchase gifts from your registry. This is a lot more afforable than air travel/hotel/high priced resort meals/using what little paid time off

That's an excellent point. I do take pride in how strong I am but then something happens like a photo is taken I think will look really cute and fun and appealing....and instead one part of my body (like my arms in a photo last night) looks grotesquely large. It sucks.

Regardless- it really sucks to work so hard and not be able to attain a goal which in this case is thinness..... Sigh.

I would love to see how these mouth breathers would all of a sudden be buying less guns if they had to take 10 mandatory classes on topics ranging from practicality (like usage and aim) to psychology (like an exploration of their own, the ramifications of gun usage, etc.) to a class or two on constititional law.

Marry me! <3

I love how this Onion piece leapt back into the minds of so many of us. I posted it before I finished reading all the comments. Talk about a prophecy....

You beat me to it!
