Idk, I actually like my Escape quite a lot. It handles pretty good, gets great gas mileage, makes cool turbo noises, can tow a few motorcycles, and the 2.0L turbo has some pretty decent acceleration. By comparison, I recently rented a new RAV4 and it was exceedingly slow, sounded like a box of rocks, and didn’t handle

The problem with these is that for how much money you’re spending they’re really not all that fast. The next problem is that if you crash you’re almost certainly dead. I actually think I like my odds crashing a much faster motorcycle better. Personally I’d much rather a Miata or even a Mustang convertible. 🤮🤮🤮

I don’t know man, I use my Ford Escape for SUV things all the times. It doesn’t a MUCH better job on camping trips than my Focus does. It gets better gas mileage, has more interior space, has better ground clearance, is still pretty quick, and can tow my trailer if needed.

It makes sense to me. As someone who was born in 1990, the cars from the 90s were the ones that I dreamed of as a small child. For some reason, the 1992-1996 Honda Civics always caught my eye while in the back seat of my parents old boxy Volvo.

That’s odd, with my Focus ST I notice almost no difference in MPG with my Thule roof box on. That being said, even with a bare roof I only get 22 mpg.

Idk, I like the 4Runner for the interior space. My outdoor activities mostly including mountain biking and camping. It’s nice to be able to put two bikes INSIDE the vehicle fairly easy. That can be done with with the 4Runner but not the Crosstrek.

Oh man is that an ugly BMW, it almost looks like a FWD economy car.

Let’s be real, anyone considering dropping nearly $200,000 on a Taycan also has a gas SUV for road trips. Range doesn’t really matter. More importantly, I hear this thing will let you get all the performance out of it even at low battery levels. I don’t really see this as being a Tesla competitor at all, they’re

Well then it would just be a AMG A35, which is definitely not allowed to be sold in the USA.

“Oh yeah, we could all totally afford brand new cars if it weren’t for those darn CD players and garage openers adding thousands of dollars to the list price. Right, folks? Anybody?”

Yet my comments are constantly grayed out. The censorship on Jalopink is real.

For $64k wouldn’t it be better to just buy a RS3?

Well, if Ford wasn’t already giving us enough reasons to shop elsewhere here’s another one. This company is going down hill fast from an enthusiasts perspective.

I would agree that it’s a bit of a stretch to call those vehicles wagons.

The Outback is actually a SUV per Subaru. So how is it possible that it accounts for 85% of wagon sales? *chuckles*

This is EXACTLY why Subaru classifies the Crosstrek and the Outback as SUVs. (Various other companies now call their small hatcbacks SUVs as well.)

“There’s the Ford Fiesta hatchback, which is a metal block of meh.” Are you serious? You lost me there. If anything it’s the Fit that is meh as compared to the Fiesta.

There’s a photo on his insta that shows the carbon swing arm snapped in half! Nuts!

I’m not sold on that exhaust setup, it looks a bit strange.

My wife and I have a 2014 Ford Escape SE and also a 2014 Ford Focus ST. I love both cars for vary different reasons, but I have to admit they drive similarly.
