After learning some hard lessons in my early jobs, as well as social media, I’ve come to adopt some personal rules.

“Unlike Democrats and third party whahoos, the GOP know how to get in line and compromise.”

I’m in the process of tuning it out entirely. The world will go on without my political online rants, and I need my sanity. I want to enjoy life more. I’ve started unfollowing (but not unfriending) the most politically noisy people on my Facebook, the ones that post about 20 times a day about Trump. Soon I will block

“Reading that he lashed out at the Wall Street Journal doesn’t make me think he learned anything. It’s a very Trump-esque thing to do to blame the media for problems of your own making.”

I called this weeks ago. I knew he wouldn’t enjoy being president, and would rather be out on the campaign trail where he can preach in front of his fans. In business, CEOs can be dictators. Not so with the president, as there still are checks and balances that are probably pissing him off. He’d rather just get

You’ve picked a bad hill to defend. Spending a lot of energy here trying to convince everyone you are right, when it’s not going to happen.

It’s fine for Hobby Lobby to express their views, as long as they are following the laws, and fine for people to boycott shopping there because of it.

“The minute you start censoring comedy then you might as well just go live in North Korea.”

We just went through a year of agonizing election mud, and the past two weeks since inauguration have been a constant nightmare. 2016 was horrible. Can’t we all take ONE night off to just be entertained?

I don’t care what others do to their body, as long as they don’t throw it, or blow it, in my face. Though I don’t like my taxes being higher to pay for avoidable extra health care for smokers, so there is that.

I always liked this pic from that movie.

I’ve tried explaining where it went wrong here, but Jez readers don’t seem to want to hear it.

It is rough, working on a game, knowing it is going to get poor ratings. But there is little you can do, because the overall plan and vision are coming from someone else above you. Probably the same case in the movie industry, that people are just glad to be getting a paycheck.

No state can secede, not even Texas. A lot of people, including a lot of Texans, mistakenly believe that the state can leave the US. No state can leave the US, period.

Something to consider: Trump and Congress can technically pass an act that says “There is no freedom of the press”, or some degree of it. Of course the Supreme Court would shoot it down...unless Trump owns the Supreme Court with new appointments. By having dominance over all 3 branches, they could pass a law that says

I’m familiar with the process, but it can happen quicker than you think as long as there are enough red states to go along with the idea.

This is an effort to prepare the public for a change of the First Amendment. I honestly believe that. They couldn’t possibly change parts of the Constitution without public support. If they paint every mainstream media news outlet as fake long enough, people will be a lot more open to laws curbing our press freedoms.

Women turned out for the 2016 election in the same numbers that they turned out for recent past elections. The Democrats did not improve the numbers of women voting for them at all. This is with Trump, of all people, up against a woman candidate. If they had turned up to vote, the election would have been tipped.

“Real wages have effectively gone nowhere as cost of living (mainly rents) has soared through Obama’s tenure. “

His looking better is for a movie role. His normal look is crusty drunk.
